Every now and then you come across a series of amazing images online. Thats one of the reasons I appreciate social media as much as I do. It's a great place to find new inspiration, and boy is it many talents out there!
Last year I discovered the work of Juan Pablo de Miguel. It didn't take me long before I fell in love with his work and I was honoured when my portfolio was featured alongside his in the recent Camerapixio magazine.
I've personally been to many of the locations Juan has photographed, and even though they are not all heavily photographed, most the pictures you see from these locations are similar. Except Juan's. Through both his vision and processing he is able to create a unique image, while still maintaining the charm of the specific area. Very few photographers are able to do this, and the few that are able to find these unique perspectives rarely have the post processing skills to make the shot stand out.
What first caught my eye with Juan's portfolio is his dramatic approach to the processing. He does the best out of the conditions he is given, and shows that you don't need a blazing sunset for a good shot. Rainy conditions? Heavy clouds? Just makes the shot better!

About three years ago I was introduced to Instagram, a place where you were supposed to share pictures of your food and brag about how epic your life is. I never got into that exact use of Instagram, instead I quickly found a great community where people where sharing beautiful photography. This inspired me to pick up my camera again and start learning how to use it. One of the first photographers I followed on Instagram was Larry Marshall. I still remember how excited I got the first time he "liked" one of my photos.
