Little Stony Man

Shenandoah National Park glowing in the early fall, viewed from the Little Stony Man Summit.

As some of you know, I recently spend two weeks in Virginia/Washington D.C visiting my mother and father that's been living there the last 4 years. This trip was not intended to be a photo vacation, but two weeks where I can spend some quality time with my family. However, my mom is very interested in photography herself, and it is really nice to go shooting with her

Panoramic View of Tempelseter

The last week I have been exploring the new social media, Ello.coAt first sight Ello seems very simple, clean and easy to use, which it also is. I am impressed by the high quality of the images uploaded, they don't tear the quality at all! Posting images almost feels like posting a blog. It is up to you if you want to have the text over or under the images, yes images! You can easily upload multiple photos, but all images appear under each other, theres no option to view them side by side.

Waterfall in Kongsberg

Being back home in my town, means to start exploring local areas that I've never given attention to before. Whenever I ask people what's a trademark for our town, everyone says the waterfall/river splitting the town. Googling the waterfall to see what kind of images was already taken, I found that most of the shot's were pretty much the same, taken from the path way on the other side of the river. I decided to find a new angle, a less shot angle, and went under the bridge. Besides the normal boxing match with midges, I had a great time shooting in my town.

Skrimtoppen Sunset

Skrimtoppen Sunset

The forecast predicted sun and no clouds, but this late afternoon hike up to Skrimtoppen in Buskerud, Norway, we were awarded with some dramatic clouds and light. Perfect combination with the rough and cold texture of the rocks.

Low tide reveals the Sardinero Cliffs

Finally everything was made for a great sunset. The tide was low, revealing the amazing cliffs on the Sardinero beach in Santander, Spain, at the perfect moment during sunset. The only factor that could ruin it all was, as you get used to in North of Spain, the weather. Looking out the kitchen window, seeing only clouds and light rain, I almost decided to stay home. But after coming back to my right senses, and persuading myself that it's better to go and not get a shot, then not to go and miss something great, I went down to the beach.

Photographing on Isle of Skye

I've recently spent 10 days in the beautiful Scotland photographing. Guess what, the fact that i had no internet, or phone service did not bother me at all! Thats how great the landscape was! I went with my friend Nick Dautlich, a  UK landscape photographer, and we had a great time shooting together.
